Faults and Failures

Major:

  • None

Minor:

  1. FIXED - Minor software bug not saving the creep mode

  2. FIXED - Some other settings not being remembered as profile

  3. 17 and 142 miles missing from journey log

  4. Outstanding - CCS Charger connection not working on EcoTricity chargers (this is a known issue and one that lies with the pump manufacturer, not the car)

  5. RESOLVED - The free 500Mb data allowance for Jaguar InControl isn’t enough. 4 hrs driving in one day used 50Mb purely for Traffic and navigation.

  6. FIXED - Cannot remove SIM card from slot. New part fixed under warranty

  7. Unresolved - Creaking from brake pedal - Informed that TADTS!

  8. Unrealistic 'State of Charge at Destination' figures in Sat Nav

Notes

A fairly uneventful month with the I-Pace. My now normal run from West Yorkshire to Worcestershire for work completed a few times plus a trip to the Lakes to visit family and one to Durham to see friends combined with the usual local runs for household duties.

I have written another post on some of the issues I find with the latest software update so I don't need to labour the point here.

All in all, the car just continues to work as expected. Miles are eaten up and charging, planned in, just works.

I even took the car to try out a new Engenie Charger in Huddersfield. This worked fine and I was impressed with the way the site was signed and laid out.

My final trip of January was to the very nice Stanbrook Abbey who had one of the best locations for a charger I have found yet. Probably best to visit while driving though as the wine list is exceptional.

*There is a change in the way I calculate consumption from this month. Previously I had taken the total of energy used from the journey log and subtracted each of the Charging events away from home to give me balance as the energy used at home. This isn't accurate as it doesn't take into account any energy used for pre-conditioning. From this month, I have included this by using the actual logged charging figure from our Zappi Charger. I think this is more accurate but due to the nature of our parking arrangements at home, it will push the overall pence per mile up as there are up to 15 days per month where the car is pre-conditioned, only to move a matter of feet.
