Headlights
The I-pace is the first car I haven’t felt needed better headlights. The Matrix system that is fitted to our HSE is simply brilliant. Very clever and just works. There are instances when people you are following or heading towards might think they are over-bright but I have seen so few occasions where the auto main beam gets it wrong and dazzles someone, that it’s just not worth trying to override them.
Tip: However, The one occasion I have seen the auto main beam get tricked is when on the motorway with a concrete central barrier. If it’s quiet, the car will go into full main beam mode but might dazzle an oncoming truck simply because the camera at the top of the windscreen might not see the headlights of the truck due to the barrier but the driver of the truck, sat up high, is in the line of sight to your headlights. This is a rare occurrence but is worse on the continent where the camber differences on the autoroute/autobahn can make it worse.
