Frunk/Froot
The I-Pace is not a Tesla, made in America. We call our trunk a boot and our Frunk a Froot. It’s not massive in the I-Pace but it’s big enough for;
Type 2 Charging cable
3-pin charging cable
gloves
hand wipes
torch
coat
and hat.
The latter items are useful as unlike the relative shelter of a petrol forecourt, most EV chargers are exposed to the elements and it does rain, frequently in the UK. This is a major gripe of mine, that and the lack of lighting as was highlighted recently by Maddie Mote. We need more solutions like the Fastned stations and the BP charging hub at Milton Keynes and less Rapid chargers located at the back of a dark pub car park because that’s the nearest (and cheapest) place to install, near the Electricity supply.
